Fresh new looks for your Longaberger® baskets

What if you don't know the name of your Longaberger basket?

I'll help!

If you have a Longaberger brand liner for the basket, check the tag.  About half the time they printed the name of the basket on the tag.  The older the liner, the higher the probability the name is printed on the tag.  Another option is to check the card that came with the basket (if you have it.)  Older baskets have the name of the basket on the front of the card.
The next way to identify your Longaberger basket is to email two or three pictures of the basket (end, side and bottom pictures) plus send the length, width and height of the basket.  Just sent the measurements, I don't need to see pictures of you taking the measurements. This page will help you measure your basket correctly (and will save a lot of time) identifying your basket correctly.  Email this information to craw4d@hotmail.com
1.  To measure accurately, use a rigid ruler, like a yard stick (for larger baskets) or a ruler for smaller ones. A mental carpenter's tape from your garage will work well, too.  Plastic and cloth tape measures are not accurate.  They can stretch over time and they are not printed consistently.
The picture to the left shows how plastic and cloth tape measures are not reliable for accurate measurements.
2.  Measure the length and width at the top of the basket from outer edge to outer edge of the basket.  This basket is 11 1/2 inches long and 5 inches wide.
3.  Measure the height of the basket.  The height is measured from the top outer edge of the basket straight down to the surface the basket is resting on.  This basket is 2 1/2 inches tall.  I'll look at the picture and look up the measurements.  Voila!  We have a cracker basket.
Here's another example. I needed to hunt up a yard stick because the length of the basket was more than a 12 inch ruler.  Measuring from the top outer edge to outer edge at the longest and widest points, this basket is 14 1/2 inches long by 10 1/4 inches wide.  The basket is 7 3/4 inches tall.  Notice how I didn't include the handles in any of the measurements.  I'll study the photos you send and look up the measurements.  Voila!  We have a medium  market basket with two swinging handles.
